Who We Are
PixelFool (pixelfool.dev) is a personal blog run by an individual contributor. This privacy policy explains how we handle any information collected when you visit this site.
What Data We Collect
Email Address (Newsletter)
If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email is sent to Formspree (our form processor). We do not store it on our own servers. It's used solely to send blog updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Local Storage (Theme Preference)
We save your light/dark mode preference in your browser's localStorage. This stays on your device and is never sent to any server.
What We Don't Collect
No analytics, no tracking cookies, no ad networks, no IP logging, no fingerprinting. We don't track which pages you visit or how long you stay.
Third-Party Services
We use a few external services to deliver this website. Here's what they do:
Processes our newsletter sign-up form. Their privacy policy applies to email submissions.
Loads the Inter and JetBrains Mono fonts. Google may collect your IP address when fetching font files. Learn more.
Tailwind CSS, Lucide Icons, and Marked.js are loaded from CDNs (cdn.tailwindcss.com, unpkg.com, cdn.jsdelivr.net). These services may log your IP temporarily to serve files.
Serves post images. Their standard access logging may temporarily record your IP.
Cookies
This site does not set any cookies directly. We use localStorage for your theme preference only, which is not a cookie and stays on your device. Third-party services (CDNs, Google Fonts) may set their own cookies as part of their normal operation.
Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- → Access — Request a copy of any data we hold about you.
- → Deletion — Request that we delete any data we hold about you.
- → Opt-out — Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in every email.
- → Portability — Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
Data Security
We don't store personal data on our servers. Newsletter submissions are processed by Formspree, which uses TLS encryption in transit. We recommend using a VPN and encrypted DNS for general browsing safety.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Significant changes may also be announced via the newsletter.
